Welcome to the European Deposit Return Systems Association!

I’m proud to lead an organization that brings together deposit return system operators in a
shared mission: to build more efficient, sustainable, and innovative systems that protect our environment and advance the circular economy. Deposit return systems are among the most effective tools we have for reducing litter, recovering valuable materials, and giving beverage containers a second life. They work because people participate — and that participation is driven by systems that are well-designed, accessible, and trusted.

At EDRSA, we recognize that while our systems operate under varied national frameworks, we face common challenges and share common goals. This diversity is our strength. It drives innovation, inspires creative solutions, and shows that there are many paths to building high-performing deposit return systems.

Through knowledge sharing, policy advocacy, and continuous collaboration, we support our members in modernizing their operations and navigating an evolving regulatory landscape.
